Artist and Designer Abbey Jacobsen holds a Bachelor of Design from RMIT, Melbourne (2008), with a steady career in branding and identity design. She lives in a small coastal town on the Bellarine Peninsula — Wadawurrung Land, Australia.

Her works use elements of line, rhythm, and time to produce soundscapes in varying grades of graphite.

“As a designer, I’m conditioned to prioritise data and deadlines. While valuable in a commercial context, these frameworks rarely attend to the heart. Art allows me to shift perspectives, embracing slower, more intuitive ways of thinking and observing life with haste.

I’d like to evolve my work in a way that considers both the viewer and the resources it draws upon, offering a moment to pause.

Everything, in time.”
